What Hardware/Software is Required for the Palm OS Version

• Wi-Fi enabled Palm OS device.  Hy-Tek recommends the palmOne™ Tungsten™ C or the palmOne Wi-Fi Card which is compatible with the Tungsten™ T3, T5, and Zire™ 72.  The following Palm OS devices have been successfully used with HY-WIRE:

- Sony Clie PEG-NX70V with a Wi-Fi Card

- palmOne Zire 72s with a Wi-Fi Card

- palmOne Tungsten C

- palmOne Treo 600

• HY-WIRE for Palm OS software.

• Meet host running MEET MANAGER 2.0 with a wireless router.  Hy-Tek recommends a D-Link wireless router and a Hi-Gain Wi-Fi antenna like the Hawking HAI7SIP 2.4GHz Hi-Gain WiFi antenna.

What is HY-WIRE?

HY-WIRE is a software product from Hy-Tek that you download from the web, HotSync to your Wi-Fi enabled Palm OS device, place your order, then activate. Once activated, use your Wi-Fi enabled Palm OS device loaded with HY-WIRE at any meet running Hy-Tek's MEET MANAGER 2.0 on a computer with a wireless access point and with the Hy-Wire system enabled. Then you are able to access information about who is swimming in what event/heat/lane as well as meet results including cumulative and subtractive splits.  You no longer have to wait for a scoreboard display or look through pages of the meet program to find start lists for upcoming events.  It will all be at your fingertips when you want it – all wirelessly – directly from the meet database!
